This morning we will hear a famous story from the gospel according to Matthew: Jesus is walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, and he sees fisherman at work, casting down their net. “Follow me,” he calls to them, “and I will make you fish for people—women, children, and men!” And at once—immediately!—they leave their lives behind and follow him. How can this be? How does God’s call work in our hearts?
