The Mission Committee

The mission committee educates the congregation about local and global needs and fosters putting faith into action serving others locally and around the world through participation in mission activities.  

We also allocate resources to support a variety of mission projects 

Our major One Great Hour of Sharing fundraiser each spring is a fun-filled evening that supports Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program and Self-Development of People. All of these Presbyterian Church (USA) programs work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need.

  • Jennie F. Snapp Middle School 

Presbyterian Church USA mission co-workers Kurt Esslinger and Hyeyoung Lee have been serving in South Korea since 2013. 

Another way our mission dollars are used is through the 4 special offerings of the PC(USA) These donations support: 

  • One Great Hour of Sharing – Hunger / Disaster/Development 

  • Pentecost – Children at Risk/ Youth / Young Adults 

  • Peace & Global Witness – Peacemaking / Reconciliation 

  • Christmas Joy – Church leaders past, present and future
