The Personnel Committee

The Personnel Committee is a sub-committee of Session and is tasked with fulfilling Presbyterian Church (USA) best practices and policies; required state and federal law; and standard best HR/business practices for each person employed by UPC. This Committee ensures all staff have Session approved Job Descriptions, a copy of the UPC Employee Handbook, proof of yearly Sexual Harassment Training, documented yearly Performance Reviews, and compliance with the NYS Paid Sick Leave law.

The Personnel Committee submits information and our recommendation to Session for their approval to hire a new employee. We also provide the Finance Committee with our recommendation for salary increases to be considered in the budget for the coming year.

Personnel Chair is a member of Session.
