Quick—what bible verse comes to mind most readily, when you imagine needing it in everyday life? Is it John 3:16? Is it Psalm 23:1? Or, perhaps, Philippians 4:13? Today’s passage from the gospel of Luke contains, amazingly, what may be some of the least-loved things Jesus ever said, as well as one for which most of us are grateful. Jesus is in teaching mode!
