For this solemn evening, on which we recall Jesus’ last meal with his friends and the hours leading up to his death, we gather around tables in our Fellowship Hall. We share a meditation as well as communion around those tables. We take part in the service of deepening shadows, the Tenebrae (Latin for “shadows” or “darkness”). We depart in silence, pondering the mystery of God’s love, and waiting expectantly for God’s further action.
