Paul, writing to the church at Philippi, quotes a well-loved hymn sung by the ancient church, and reveals the depths of God’s love for us.

Join us this morning for worship via video streaming! We gather as a real community through an electronic medium, as we strive to be good neighbors in a time of pandemic.

All Hymns are from the Worship and Rejoice Hymnal

Opening Hymn:  #265                   “All Glory, Laud and Honor”

Refrain:               All glory, laud and honor, to you, Redeemer, King,
to whom the lips of children made sweet hosannas ring

You are the King of Israel, and David’s royal Son,
now in the Lord’s name coming, our King and blessed One!

To you, before your passion, they sang their hymns of praise;
to you, now high exalted our melody we raise.

 As you received their praises, accept the prayers we bring
for you delight in goodness, O good and gracious King!

Closing Hymn: # 284            “O Sacred Head, Now Wounded”

O Sacred head, now wounded with grief and shame weighed down,
now scornfully surrounded with thorns, thine only crown.
O sacred head, what glory, what bliss till now was thine;
yet though despised and gory, I joy to call thee mine.

What language shall I borrow to thank thee, dearest friend,
for this thy dying sorrow, thy pity without end?
O make me thine forever; and should I fainting be,
Lord let me never, never outlive my love for thee.
