We tend to think of Advent as a time anticipation of our celebration of Christmas. But that’s not how it begins. Instead, we hear the words of Jesus, anticipating the return of the Son of Man. This is an image that seeks to balance the anxiety of the unknown with a real and enduring hope.

Join us this Sunday at Union Presbyterian Church as we light the first Advent candle, hear our Chancel Choir, a well as our Tenor and Bass choir singing “Watchman, Tell Us of the Night.” Our service is complete when we gather around the Lord’s Table. Then, we enjoy coffee hour in the Fellowship Hall, alongside a simple craft project to create our own Advent calendars. It’s a full Sunday at UPC, and You are invited!
