This Sunday we begin a sermon series for the Easter season, "Scenes From a Brand New Church," looking at the story as it unfolds in the Book of Acts. In the first chapter Jesus bids his disciples a final farewell, while at the same time promising baptism in his Spirit, so that they might continue their work together. How do we see our life together in community as echoing the fears, the grappling with history, and the commissioning of our ancestors in faith?
