A Season of Visions and Dreams

Each fall Union Presbyterian Church spends time pondering its budget for the coming year and encouraging its members and friends to plan for generous giving. This year, our Stewardship Season is called "A Season of Visions and Dreams," drawing its name from the startling passage from the prophet Joel:

Then afterward I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female slaves, in those days, I will pour out my spirit. I will show portents in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes...
~ Joel 2:28-31

This year we invite those who consider UPC their spiritual home to join us, not merely in pondering expenses and bottom lines, but the call of Jesus Christ upon our lives. Where is God calling this congregation to use its considerable energy and gifts? Who is our neighbor? How shall we make our dreams and visions for the future a reality in the Union district of Endicott?

We hope you will join us, not only today, but throughout this season.
