World Communion Sunday

For more than 80 years Presbyterians have joined with other Christian denominations in a celebration of World Communion on the first Sunday in October. Originally conceived as a way to promote Christian unity and ecumenical partnerships, the observance takes on more urgency than ever in a world beset by violence, at the local, national and international levels.

In recent years, the Presbyterian Church (USA) has shifted the focus to peacemaking. Please join us this day, as our sharing of bread and cup at God's table urges us to take peace out the church doors and into God's beautiful and broken world.
