Just a few nights ago we were gathered around the manger with the shepherds and angels, in awe of the Holy Child, Christ the Lord! And the text appointed for today by the Narrative Lectionary folks has us meeting Jesus fully grown, heading down to the Jordan to be baptized by John.....

What happened? What happened to that babe? What were his growing up years like? How did he find himself ready to be anointed by the Spirit for God's work?

Join us for a service of Lessons and Carols as we explore the stories of scripture (intermingled with some stories from the non-canonical, even "Gnostic" gospels) as we try to understand how the child became the man.
