The Breath of Life

In the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens... then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being. And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed.  ~ Genesis 2:4b, 7-8

The Bible opens with two powerful descriptions of God's creation of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. They are stories of beginnings.

Join us on Sunday September 13 as we celebrate many beginnings in our life as a faith community... the beginning of our "program year," the return of Sunday School for Pre-K through high school, and the beginning of another year of worship enriched by the music of our Chancel Choir and focused by the texts suggested by the Narrative Lectionary (you can find out more about this schedule of preaching texts here). We begin at the beginning: creation.  Pastor Pat Raube preaches and presides at the Lord's Supper. All are welcome. Won't you join us?
